Invisalign: The Clear Brace Alternative

23 June 2019

Here at Etwall Dental Practice, we appreciate the importance for subtlety when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. With an accompanying desire to work with brands at the forefront of the dental industry, we’re proud of our partnership with Invisalign. Capable of reviving your smile, Invisalign orthodontic treatment is clinically proven to be effective in treating mild to complex teeth straightening issues including underbites, crossbites, gapped teeth and open bite among others.

Should our dental experts deem realignment appropriate upon consultation, Invisalign aligners can be applied both discretely and in a quick fashion. Your new Invisalign aligners will be custom-made with proprietary SmartTrack material, allowing them to fit snugly over your teeth. This allows for improved control of tooth movement, gently moving them and even rotating when appropriate. Fortunately, due to its gradual nature, the Invisalign treatment is generally pain free.

Aesthetically, the clear Invisalign aligners mean that people won’t even realise you have them in, with many of our patients claiming family and friends didn’t notice throughout their whole treatment period. Most importantly, the straightening of your teeth can have a hugely positive impact on your overall oral health. Invisalign aligners are easily removed, so you can continue to brush and floss your teeth as you normally would to maintain hygiene. Furthermore, straighter teeth are less susceptible to tooth decay and gum disease, so investing in a straighter smile now may minimise the need for costly dental work in the future.

To completely reap the benefits that Invisalign has to offer, you will have to adjust your lifestyle accordingly. Invisalign aligners will have to be worn for no less than 22 hours a day, removing them only to eat and drink anything other than cold water. Failure to adhere to these strict conditions may result in the treatment taking much longer than expected, with the end result suffering.

Our patients have experienced overwhelming satisfaction with the Invisalign orthodontic treatments, with the majority noticing big differences in their smiles in a short space of time. Once you begin your treatment, you will be asked to visit our hygienists every two weeks for a new set of aligners, with each new set designed to gently move your teeth into their correct position. At this stage you may feel a slight tenderness as your teeth readjust, however this is a sign that they are moving as they should be.

As always, our dental experts are happy to take any enquires, should you feel as though the Invisalign treatment could be for you. To get in touch, you can find all Etwall Dental Practice’s relevant contact information here, including address if you would prefer to pay us a visit. Don’t hesitate to get in touch.
