ABB: Alignment, Bleaching & Bonding

Dentistry is an ever-changing industry, with advancements in technology often leading to more streamlined and efficient treatments. Over the years, dentists have been dependant on classic crowns and veneers to fix any cosmetic issues. Today, Etwall Dental Practice can introduce a new technique known as ABB (Align, Bleach, Bond).

What is ABB?

Offering a three-fold treatment sequence, ABB is perfect for those who struggle with imperfections in their front teeth. A minimally invasive technique, ABB helps solve crooked front teeth, discolouration, as well as crooked or broken teeth.

How does ABB work?

ABB is capable of providing a full smile redesign, so much so, it is now becoming an increasingly prescribed treatment for patients. ABB works in three chronological steps, as follows:

Alignment

The first stage consists of tooth alignment, using one of the many treatment packages available at Etwall Dental Practice. They include but are not limited to, Invisalign, Inman Aligners, Fixed Braces and 6 Month Smiles. These procedures offer quick and safe results, aligning your teeth in a discreet and comfortable manner.

Bleaching

The second stage will allow your teeth to become up to twelve shades lighter. As per the Alignment phase, Etwall Dental Practice offers a number of different teeth whitening solutions. Patients can use treatments such as Home-Based Whitening, Enlighten Evolution and Pola Whitening among others.

Bonding

Finally, our dentists will begin the bonding process, whereby teeth edges are smoothed out and/or structured correctly to achieve a pleasing appearance. This will be the stage where corrections will be made to any crooked or broken teeth. If you’re only looking to address minor chips or discolouration rather than a full three-stage smile redesign, composite bonding on its own may be all you need. What are the benefits of ABB?

  • Such is the advancement in technology and secure nature of our services, the ABB treatment is a low-risk, high-reward option for patients who believe the treatment is necessary.
  • As part of the process, the bite and positioning of teeth are adjusted, reducing the risk of problems in the future.
  • The treatment process is non-evasive, meaning that those who are anxious about visiting the dentist can be at ease.
  • The treatment is affordable and cost-efficient alternative to other procedures.
  • Most importantly for many patients, the treatment will provide a sense of confidence they didn’t have before, as smiles are permanently enhanced.

ABB treatment continues to be popular among Etwall Dental Practice patients. If you feel as though the treatment could be for you, visit our Contact page or call us on 01283 733391 to book your completely free consultation.

Patients with mildly crowded teeth, small gaps, or uneven tooth edges often achieve excellent results from this combination approach.

In many cases, yes. Because it combines several subtle treatments, ABB can produce a dramatic improvement while remaining relatively conservative.

Dentists typically begin with alignment, followed by whitening, and finish with bonding so that the final shape and colour can be matched precisely.

Yes. Because ABB is a staged approach, it allows flexibility to refine the plan as progress is made and results begin to take shape.

It is particularly well suited to patients looking for natural-looking improvements that enhance their existing smile rather than completely altering it.
